China from the inside, not from a manual
We have run our own company in Shenzhen since 2014, and we went through every one of these steps for ourselves before doing them for clients: incorporation, the import-export licence, SAFE registration, monthly filings. We read the documents in Chinese instead of forwarding them to partners.
We go to the bureaus and to the bank in person, and not for the first time, so we know what they are asking for right now and where an application tends to stall. The timelines we publish are real ones, not a best case.
Questions
Do I need to travel to China?
Usually no. Hong Kong and Singapore are fully remote. For a mainland WFOE, a visit may be needed at the bank stage.
Do you guarantee the bank account?
No one can: the bank decides. We prepare the file properly and part of our fee is success-based.
It also helps that we do not file blind: these banks know us, a borderline profile can be discussed before filing, and we are told the reason when an application is refused.
